Paragon Advance are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We are an intermediary and work on a non-advised basis, which means that we will provide details of our policy for you to make your decision whether the product meets your needs. All questions should be answered fully and correctly to the best of your knowledge and belief. Failure to disclose any fact may result in the insurance being declined or void.

By providing you with a quote and if cover is accepted by you, Paragon Advance are applying for a policy on your behalf which is subject to underwriter approval.

The policy will be underwritten by Devon Bay Insurance Company Limited who are authorised and regulated by the Anguilla Financial Services Commission (AFSC), which is the equivalent of the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). As they are based in Anguilla, they are not members of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) so are not covered by it. Full details of the underwriter can be found in your policy documents, which will be issued once the policy has been approved by the underwriter. Paragon may receive a commission for introducing customers to them.

We will use your information to assess your insurance quotation and the terms on which cover may be offered. We may exchange your information with our underwriter City & Commercial Insurance Company (PCC) Limited re Avonbridge Cell.     This is additional cover that protects you in the event of sudden and unexpected damage. I.E. if you drop your mobile phone on the floor at the risk address and crack the screen, or spill red wine on your sofa.
    How much would it cost to replace the entire contents of your home as new (this is the sum insured amount) (min £5,000 and max £50,000)?
    If your contents are underinsured then you are at risk of having claims paid on a pro-rata basis to the true sum insured or not at all. Contents includes carpets, whether fitted or not, household goods, furniture and furnishings.
    Is the replacement cost of all your high risk items collectively more than 20% of the sum insured on contents?
    High risk items are any collections of stamps, coins, medals, banknotes or other collectable articles, articles made of gold, silver, precious metals or precious stones, audio and audio visual equipment, clocks, computer equipment, jewellery, watches or furs, photographic equipment, binoculars, telescopes, pictures, paintings, other works of art, portable musical instruments, sculptures, tapestries, rare and unusual figurines, any item valued for its rareness.

    Personal Possessions are items normally used, worn or carried about by you, for example, clothing, jewellery, mobile phones and watches etc. This section covers loss, damage or theft for personal possessions when carried away from home.
    Would you like to add cover for your specified personal possessions taken outside of the home?
    Any personal belongings that value more than £1,500 need to be specified under this section to cover any loss, damage or theft, when away from home (Proof of value and ownership is required for items over £3,000, and failure to provide such proof may invalidate any claim).
